The school is a special education school fully accredited by The Maryland State Department of Education that provides a regular academic instructional program for students in grades 4th - 12th in highly structured classroom settings designed to meet the Maryland State graduation requirements. Instruction is based on the Montgomery County Public Schools Program of Studies curriculum and the integration of the IEP that is the driving force for each student. The school program promotes academic achievement in a therapeutic milieu and utilizes a rigorous behavioral management system that addresses the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of the students. An integral part of the school program is its mainstreaming and comprehensive school-to-career/college transition program.

Eligibility: Students must be Montgomery County residents and have an IEP. Child must have an identifiable mental illness that is amenable to treatment.
