Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Services also known as CABHS

Provides family-focused outpatient mental health services to children, adolescents, and their families to help address trauma, emotional, behavioral, substance use issues.

Services include behavioral health assessment; diagnostic evaluation; individual, family, and group psychotherapy; psychiatric evaluation; medication management; substance use screening; clinical case management; and some school based services in MCPS.

As a part of the Montgomery County System of Care, Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health Services coordinates treatment services with family members and other agencies involved with children and families.

Eligibility: County residents between the ages of 5 and 18 years of age who have Medicaid or no health insurance. Youth 18-20 enrolled in MCPS qualify for services.
