The Disease Control and Epidemiology program investigates lab reports of residents with reportable communicable diseases. Epidemiological investigations link cases of illness and recommend control measures to prevent spread and control outbreak situations. The program monitors endemic and epidemic health situations. Disease Control staff provide infection prevention consultation to residents, medical providers, hospitals, long-term care facilities, schools, child care facilities and the Montgomery County Department of Corrections.
