Diabetes Dining Club and the African Healthy Living Club

AAHP coordinates two monthly clubs, the Diabetes Dining Club and the African Healthy Living Club. Both clubs provide a welcoming environment in which community members can: Enjoy a diabetic-friendly meal and learn healthy eating tips Network with others facing similar health issues Hear about new and effective management strategies Participate in fun physical activities developed especially for the clubs The African Health Living Club is designed to help African immigrants learn how to be healthy by eating foods from their country of origin or transitioning to an American diet. Gatherings are led by an African dietitian and food is provided by African catering companies and restaurants.
