The Career Gateway is a training program to help Montgomery County residents age 50 and over who are looking for a job. Participants will receive individual attention in small classes over two weeks in this 30 hour course and a long-term mentor to assist after the conclusion of the course. Course includes: job market overview; job-search techniques; self-presentation pointers; interview techniques; pointers on giving references; writing cover letters; responding to job ads; negotiating job offers; resume writing; networking techniques; and other pointers and techniques to obtain employment.
