Bethesda Cares offers a wide range of service in its office. The office doubles as a day shelter. People on the street may come in for a respite from the weather. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate and light snacks are available. Services include use of mailing address to receive mail. Telephone messages are taken to keep homeless clients in contact. Use of the office equipment is available for job search, letter writing, calling other agencies and the like. Toiletries are available to take to maintain hygiene here in the office or outside. In addition to meeting the basic needs, Bethesda Cares also works individual plans with clients on next steps. The client is a full partner in the planning.
